GIVING

We are proud sponsors of:

The Bowery Mission

The Bowery Mission has served homeless and hungry New Yorkers since the 1870s, when its neighborhood came to define the term “skid row.” Our children’s programs, called Mont Lawn City Camp & Mont Lawn Summer Camp, serve youth and began in 1894 by giving the children of recent immigrants the chance to escape the tenements in the summer.

Today, The Bowery Mission is a results-oriented organization that is recognized as one of New York City's most effective.

Girls on the Run

At Girls on the Run, we inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curriculum which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k event.

Fast Feet

Fast Feet offers different programming options to support and assist individuals of all abilities. Our running clubs for schools create inclusive and supportive team environments within a school community. Athletes, coaches, and teachers all work towards a common goal of improvement with each training session. In this safe and supportive setting, athletes build their endurance, speed, and movement patterns.

What is a virtual 5k?

This will be a 5k (3.1 miles) that you complete any time from May 28 to June 13, on your own. You choose the time and place (following social distancing guidelines) to walk, run or roll a 5k – or do another physical activity of your choice.

How much does it cost to register?

General registration is free and open to all! When you sign up, you will receive a virtual 5k packet with fun resources to support you along the way, including a printable bib and finisher’s certificate, GOTR playlist, suggested running routes, and more. You’ll also be able to submit your virtual 5k activity results and see how fellow participants completed their virtual 5k on our event website.

You can also upgrade your registration for $35 to receive a 5k medal and GOTR swag, in addition to all virtual resources!
